After a lengthy period of political unrest and bloody revolution the Bolshevik faction of Russian Marxism took control. This faction would later come to be known as the Communist Party. This party was led by a man named Lenin (Foreman, 87). .
             Communist rule was troubled from the beginning in the Soviet Union. Parties abroad repeatedly challenged the government and there was a general civil unrest. After the party had solidified control it was faced with several daunting chores. First was to rebuild the non-existent economy.
