Continuing Church Growth

We should take it personal and move ourselves to action through the love inside that flows from us.
From these thoughts and concepts, one needs to ask the question, "what needs to be done to implement a CCG program." The number one key to developing a proper CCG program is to pray. Unless it is prayed through and brought to the throne of God for His approval, then our efforts are in vein. The second most important aspect is to let is grow from church excitement. What I mean by this is the church should be the one who birth's the program and supports it through prayer, time, money, and talents.
One key element in this process of getting the church behind growing is for a Pastor to share the vision of the church. I watched a video of Rick Warren's in a SWBTS Church Growth class where he said there were 5 key elements to church family living and those are:.
             I. The pastors relationship with God.
II. The relationship of the people with God.
III. The relationship of the pastor to the people.
IV. The relationship of the people to the pastor.
             V. The relationship of the people to the people.
VI. The relationship of the church to the world.
I feel that the pastor's relationship to the church is the most vital area that must be healthy in order for a church to grow. I have seen many situations where there are damaged relationships between these two parties that hinder a church from growing. The pastor's role should be one that builds and encourages harmony and unity in the church and among the members. This should be a high priority for the pastor when embarking on a CCG plan.
Although if the pastor and the people are not in fellowship with each other, there is no reason to believe that they are in fellowship with God. Some may believe that pastors are innocent of any wrong doing but it should be the role and duty of the pastor to first of all bring unity to the church. I recently heard Andy Stanley at a pastor's conference and he spoke about leadership.
