Produced Water Treatment

ED is able to produce a much more highly concentrated brine (up to 20%) and may be less susceptible to fouling problems. ANL is being funded by the Gas Research Institute and is working with gas producers to develop ED and hybrid treatment systems for removing the salts and treating the organics in produced waters.
The combined NATCO/Axsia technology portfolio for the treatment of oily/produced water provides our customers an enormous choice of solutions. From the use of simple CPI gravity separators through to the Oilspin liquid/liquid hydrocyclones range, the advanced Tridair flotation or the Powerclean nut shell filters. Primary Separation-Divide production flows and remove free water, Since it combines functions of a surge vessel, a freewater knockout, a separator and a manifold system, the Flo-Splitter can replace elaborate piping and reduce the number of processing units required. Secondary Separation-Coalescer? TriPack Corrugated Plate Interceptor employs a series of corrugated plate packs inclined at opposite angles in close proximity; the most effective technique for increasing setting area per unit volume requires far less space than settling tanks.-OILSPIN TM AV Liquid/Liquid Hydrocyclones- MOZLEY SANDSPIN TM Solid/Liquid Hydrocyclone. Tertiary Separation-TRIDAIR MECHANICAL Induced Gas Flotation System: oils, TRIDAIR HYDRAULIC Induced Gas Flotation System: solids. .
cost-efficient process to clean produced water at offshore production facilities by injecting liquid gas into the water stream. 14 August 1998 Norwegian and PCT patent application for this process has been filed. This process is apparently the only cost-efficient method available today for the removal of both dispersed oil particles and dissolved aromatic components from produced water. The process is actually based on solvent extraction using NGL (Natural Gas Liquid) as the solvent. Contaminants are cycled back into production after the extraction process is complete.
