There were answers for that as well. In today's society among the young people there is always a sense of style that links the cool and popular. Palm pilots are cool new PC's so they appealed to the younger society. Of all the needs that were appealed to, work ranked at the top of the list of the choice that was picked. This goes one step further to show us just how much technology is infecting our daily lives in all aspects.
The second step of the model deals with the information search. Its all about how you acquired information about the product before you bought it. Once again technology reared its head at the top of the list with the majority of the people's way of finding out information on the product being via the internet. The internet is a great source of immense information for us to feast our eyes on. The second largest way that people got their information should be of no surprise to anyone. I am of course talking about word of mouth. The second highest choice was receiving information about the product through friends. When one person goes out and buys the product he relays his sentiments to all his other friends. Whether it is positive or negative information he tells his friends all about his purchase. This is one of the greatest tools that advertisers have today. They create and market a product to a target audience that they are sure will approve of it with the foreseen knowledge that one favorable mind will infect others to be favorable of the product as well.
The third step of the model is the evaluation of the alternatives. This is where one would decide how to choose one brand over the other brands that are out there. Our studies showed that almost all of the people who took the survey had bought different brands of palm pilots.
