What is Philosophy?

The reading touches on the core of what philosophy is suppose to be all about. Socrates the "father" of all philosophy is where most all most all the ideas of our modern philosophy scheme come from. His thoughts on philosophy are very complex yet simple at the same time he always pushed the envelope in his theories and how he got people to think; and that is exactly what Socrates saw it to be, it should always make a person think and keep on reevaluating ones self. .
His thoughts on questioning everyone and everything were really intriguing and it makes you think about everything you say and do and why you are really doing it. Who is right and who is wrong are some questions that you ask yourself. Admitting that one is not always right and does not know everything was very interesting. Socrates is a very revolutionary man and his thoughts are still believed all throughout the world and that everything is to be challenged and never settle for the first response or answer to anything that maybe off the truth but it is a deeper response than the one actually given.
What is philosophy? A question that I couldn't answer before the beginning of this course and a question I can't yet answer but after reading about Socrates and his Socratic method it is opening a new door for me and the way my mind thinks and the way I am starting to look at certain questions about life love and relationships with the people I have known for all my life.
