Diary of Anne Frank

It all started in an attic in Amsterdam. This was where people usually hid from the Germans and this also represented the type of place that Jews all over were living. Anne, a young German girl was particularly amusing because of the scuffles she and everyone around her seemed to have as well. Anne's father was a good man, caring for every Jew on the planet and very forgiving. Anne's Mother was a good woman who was traditional and wanted Anne to become more lady like, just as Margot. Margot, Anne's sister was very nice and mature. The Frank's together with the Van Daans occupied the attic. Mr. Frank let them stay because they needed a place to hide. Since they had helped him in the past by actually teaching Mr. Frank German, he felt it was proper as a sign of gratitude to them. The Van Daans had a son, Peter, which Anne later became attracted to. Peter was the only person who Anne could understand and vise versa. They could talk to each other freely when together. Dussel soon joined the group. He had to leave his Dentistry to hide out from the Germans. This group would not have lasted too long without the help of Miep Gies and Mr. Kraler who gave them the their needs in order to survive up in the attic for a long period of time.
The book was about conflicts and struggles two families went through living together for a long period of time seemed to drive them crazy, the lack of food is a big factor. In general, they were hiding from the Nazi's. During their hiding, Anne and Peter soon found a friendship between each other and started building up a relationship. This story was a prime example of what a lot of families and different people had to live through during those hard times. Jews being killed for no aparent reason at all.
The diary of Anne Frank I think is a great book. .
