Watch Out

There is a stereotype in this country that effects young drivers. This stereotype is factored in especially during the pricing of car insurance. Every video and movie you see with young people driving a car they are required to listen to the over bearing parent telling them oh about 1000 rules on the correct operation of the precious 1982 station wagon, are we really this irresponsible and dumb. This is funny to no one under the age of 25. Isn't that a coincidence that insurance rates start to plummet after the age of 25? When the keys to that great car are finally placed in the palm of the teenagers hand the parents face winces and you can see the sweat beading from their forehead as they entrust the family car to the "immature" child. My question is why? Maybe the parents should not be overly concerned with their children abusing the driving privileges so graciously bestowed upon them, but maybe their parents. .
Yes, that immature teenagers grandparents are the ones that needed to be supervised more closely. This is something that is overlooked severely. The focus is always put on the young, but the larger problem is from the elderly. As any human ages their skills are slowly diminishing. The reaction time is much slower than previous years of their youthful life. The eyes of many older people are going from bad to worse and many are afraid to admit it and seek further help. A good number of these older people have had medical complications that could seriously affect their driving skills. These are serious health issues such as cataracts, muscle apathy, and stroke. Let me further ask, why? Why are they still allowed to drive and endanger their lives and not to mention the lives of other drivers on the road?.
Now, you"re probably asking how? How can we make sure that these elderly people cannot put any live in danger on the road? It's quite easy, after retirement and the retiree's begin collecting their full security at age 65 they will then be required to take a FULL written and road exam before having their license reissued.
