Abortion

Abortion has been an extremely controversial issue for quite some time. Some believe that abortion is the most repulsive and immoral act of man, while others strongly support it. Whatever the view a person has on abortion, there is no denying that it is the murder of an innocent, unborn child. .
The main argument that most pro-abortionists have is that the baby is not yet alive. This is just a feeble excuse, as from the time of conception, a baby is medically considered alive. It is ironic that the majority of some of these pro-abortionists are against war, killing and violence, when abortion is the most inhumane act that could be committed. An unborn baby is meaningful life that should not be considered expendable. At eighteen days after conception a baby has a heart beat, at six weeks the baby's brain waves can be measured and, at 9 weeks the baby can feel pain; he or she has everything that all humans have. The genetic code of the baby is all ready set to form a heart, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, skin, and mind from the moment of conception; being dependent on others should not deprive a helpless baby of fundamental human rights. .
Most women have abortions for the wrong reasons, they have abortions because they were careless and got pregnant accidentally, and then come to the realization that a baby might deprive them from living their lives. Many may argue that it is unfair to bring an unwanted baby into the world, but every single child is wanted by someone. After birth, the child can be given up for adoption, there are thousands of couples in America and all over the world who cannot have children of their own and wish to adopt. Rape cases are always brought up when abortion is being discussed. It is horrendous that any woman would have to be faced with this kind of decision in her life; however, my point still stands that there is still a human being inside of her who is innocent and not guilty of the crime committed by the rapist; in addition, less than one percent of all abortions are due to rape.
