Communitarianism is a classical ethical theory places its dominant intellectual emphasis on the individual and individual acts by emphasizing concepts such as character, choice, liberty and duty. Everyone has rights within the community what matters, matters to all, the minority matters. .
Other than internal personal satisfaction ethical behavior can be carried over into the work force as well. When I plan on getting a job in the advertising field after school I will have to carry with me a set of ethical rules. Considering each of the theoretical guidelines for me to follow, it would be hard to choose just one.
Looking at Aristotle's virtue ethics I love the part that say's be all you can be and you will succeed. If I could wake up every morning, shower, eat right, and be at my desk early and do everything 110% to my ability I think that would make me a very successful person. It would be all right if I made a mistake or failed at something as long as I knew I gave it my all. I don"t really see any negative aspects to Aristotle's virtue. .
Kant's ethics reminds me that indeed all people are of equal value. This is a must ethic to obey because I could see my self in a situation were I could use someone in order to make a buck or two but in the long run it could come back to haunt me and I also would not feel right using someone as a mean to an end. I feel as if I should always treat people the way I would want them to treat me and I know I wouldn"t want someone trying to trick me into a business deal just to earn some income off my gullible personality, per say. Kant's ethical reasoning seems to me that as long as you perform the right act based on what the categorical imperative and duty demand, the consequences of that act are not important. I would have to disagree with this because sometimes your clients might have different opinions than what you are thinking and this could be a disaster especially if you don"t take under consideration that the consequence could be loosing the client.
