            Integrated Defense Technologies, Inc. (IDT) is a developer and provider of advanced electronics and technology products to the defense and intelligence industries. The Company has 1,650 employees and offers over 500 products comprising electronic combat systems, diagnostics and power systems and communications and surveillance systems. These are installed on or used in a broad array of military platforms in order to enhance their operational performance or extend their useful life. About 77 % of the company sales come directly or indirectly from the United States government and its products are found on major military platforms such as the F-16 and C-17 aircraft, the DDG-51 Destroyer and the Trident submarine, the M1 Abrams Main Battle Tank, the Light Armored Vehicle and the Patriot and Tomahawk missile systems.
             On September 13, 2002, Integrated Defense Technologies announced that it has agreed to purchase the surveillance equipment unit of BAE Systems located in Gaithersburg, Maryland for $146 million in cash, bolstering its intelligence-gathering capabilities. BAE Systems has a long history of supplying U.S. and allied government agencies with high quality surveillance and intercept equipment its diverse and large product offering of over 300 unique product include receivers, tuners, demodulators, signal analysers designed to perform signal intercept, identification, location and analysis functions. The deal is expected to be completed during the fourth quarter of this year and add $17 million to Integrated Defense's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization during 2003. The Unit will merge with Integrated Defense"s communication and Surveillance Systems group, which will account for approximately 35 percent of the firm's revenue after the transaction. .
             In the past 12 months, Integrated ranked number one in terms of its Sales and Income with $264 million or 67 percent and $2.
