Sex trafficking victims are unable to make decisions, control their lives or their sexual activity once they are trafficked (Source 8 par.6)4. Sex trafficking is a billion dollar industry, an estimate was made in 2005 stating that sex trafficking, per year, is a $32 billion dollar crime profit organization, or $87 million dollars a day (Source 2 3)5. In Latin America alone sex trafficking has become a 16 billion dollar profit industry(Source 8 par.5)1.

It is also one of the top 3 placesfor victims trafficked from Asia (Source 7 3)2 and the top place for victims trafficked from Latin America and the Caribbean (Source 7 3)2. It has been said that there are currently at least 100,000 domestic minor sex trafficking victims in the U.
