The Hand of the Undead

On the day like any other day the sun turned black, raping the sky with shadow. Adam the priest delivered his Sunday sermon to the masses unknowing of the event outside. Adam made an announcement a final word to the public Hell is overflowing! And Satan is sending his dead to us! How do you think God will judge you? Well, friends, now we know. When there is no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth. The crowd fled in fear from the church only to embrace the dead coming back to life, from a distance from the church cemetery. The public raced to their cars, but failed in the squabble, and are upon the feast of the creatures. Adam locks the church doors with some of his loyal congregation inside, while the undead are distracted by their meals. Men, women, and children all fell prey outside the church and are awoke with the foul odor of rotting flesh, yellow blood clenched teeth, and the terrible wail of moaning that gave nightmares and chills to the mind.
The congregation begged Adam what to do, but he could not speak, Adam was in shock and fear as were they all. So the group tore the wooden chairs and barred the doors and windows with caution of alerting the dead. A small number of the congregation went in the basement to search for food to find a mass quantity of canned food from a charity the day before. The group enjoyed a dinner of baked beans and soup which never tasted so horrible and slimy cold, but it had to do for tonight. As the night of the moon started to glow throughout the church. The congregation slowly rested their tired heads to sleep on the carpeted floor of the floors, while Adam goes mad at the thought of his savior abandoning humanity to hell. As the group listened to a broadcast from the church radio of a safe zone in Washington D.C protected by the National Guard with food, water and shelter which faded into static seconds later. The group huddled together on a plan of what to do for the future, they had no idea of how to fight these monsters and how to survive without the use of society.
