My Place in Society

Many people who are influenced by society tend to judge others through societies norms and they want to be well liked by everyone, thus they conform and corrupt who they truly are to fit others approving views. They fool themselves into thinking that's how they will be truly happy yet deep down they know they are not. I learned when I was at a young age that being who I am is truly what makes me happy and why should I change who I was just to make others happy. I'm extremely thankful I was confident enough to be who I am and not bend to the will of what society wanted me to be. .
I've acknowledged how horrible society is, yet I have no choice but to take part in this messed up system due to the fact that I am a part of society and it is a part of me whether I acknowledge it or not, even in the most horrible aspect of society there are still a few positive aspects in society. Sure they're hard to find but if it's not hard to find it's not worth the effort of searching for it. With so many different nations, cultures, and religions there are numerous societies which hold different values and beliefs. But you don't need to look deep past the surface to realize that underneath each society's thin sediment of varying aspects to realize that we all abide by the same basic values our ancestors abided by, good or bad. Due to the strong core values I have about people I'm a very picky person about who I choose to spend my time with; I'd rather be alone than hang out with people I dislike and after only observing society for a short period of time I've been able to realize that suppressing other people's opinions or views due to its differentiation or its new take is societies true nature. So I'm a very vocal and straight forward person, I hate people who dance around what they really want to say they're not only wasting their own time but everyone else's time.
Society in my opinion is what you make it out to be, it's your choice whether to embrace it or not.
