" This name is to convey the anticipation of the project engineers and entrepreneurs that the inventiveness will become a global hub for green-energy innovation. The proposal was launched in the year of 2006 by the Abu Dhabi government's Mubadala Development Company (MDC). In 2008, life was brought to the ambitious idea of the world's first carbon-neutral cities when construction started to take place.
