My Grandmother: My Best Friend

That special someone that you go to for everything, and the one person who can make you smile when all you want to do is cry. For me that person was my grandma, and she was taken from me all to quickly. .
I remember that day like it was yesterday. When I awoke that morning, I remember hearing her getting ready to leave the house. I thought "Ughhh, I'm so tired. I'm way too lazy to get up and say goodbye, I will just see her when she gets home." " And from there it all went down hill. Later that day I was in the kitchen making lunch for me and my sister, when my grandpa got the heart wrenching call from the clinic. They informed him that they had found my grandma unconscious in her wheelchair when they came to get her for her doctors appointment. He was told said she went into a cardiac arrest, and that they were taking her to the hospital that moment in an ambulance. .
My grandpa immediately called my mom rambling, "Deanna, I just got a call from the clinic they are taking your mom to the hospital, you need to leave work and meet us there they said it was very serious. He then shouted at me and my sister, "Get dressed girls we have to go to the hospital, something happened to grandma. "At that moment my heart dropped. I scrambled to get out of my pajamas and we all ran to the car. It took us about ten minutes to get there, and when we arrived at the emergency room my mom was already standing in the waiting room crying hysterically. Through her tears she managed to mutter, "It doesn't look good. " And the sobs consumed her once again. My mom called my uncle and he got there quickly. We waited in the waiting room for what seemed like forever. One of the doctors finally came out to tell us that they had to put her on a ventilator to keep her breathing because she could not breathe on her own. They took her up to the ICU and started to do tests. .
When I walked into her room I was speechless. All I could think was that was not my grandma.
