This action can reduce unwanted children and contribute to depleting the fertility rate.
As the population continues to grow there are a lot of pressure on cultivated natural resources, water (rivers), and land to offer an adequate food supply; in the same time preserving our ecosystem. The difference within the population of world and the resources of humans depend on have increased or undergoing growing imbalance. The grain of world that can be able to make up eighty per-cent of the food of world declined since the last 15 years (Perry & Selden, 2010). In each day, there is a growing world population of a quarter million, which means that grains and other foods needs will arrive at levels of exponential (Guthrie, 2009). Even if these resources aren't needed they will still decline considerably since it must be divided amongst more people.
The development in terms of the resources will mean nothing if there was too many people on earth. Applies it to China, it is the same. The population's in China is extremely large and their resources cannot support them. They import mainly their resources from outside. The supply for food is barely meeting the demand and in no time, even with the advance of technology it would be impossible to feed every single person if the population is not monitored. Environmental issues like pollution and global warming are both the effect that arose from the world's population, therefore there are no debates of the above topics when the overpopulation of the world is settled (Connor, 2011). The facts of overpopulation help us to realize the importance of to provide suitable solution for this problem. This brings up the significant importance of the one-child policy of Chinese Government.
Basically, there are many solutions to help control the increasing population. China enforced this One family One Child policy (introduced in 1979) which is a population policy.
