The Issue of Overpopulation in China

There are more opportunities for people to receive health care now, meaning, and people in the world live longer and the population stays higher. .
             Natural disasters have helped with overpopulation. The land is destroyed and no longer suitable to live on. The people from those areas move to a different area, overcrowding that land. Conflicts also increase the population. Conflicts include war. When soldiers come home from war, many women begin bearing children. All of these causes tend to be blamed on the poor management of government officials. Government officials should be helping to control the overpopulated world. Some feel that this job is not being done. As the population increases, the projections of scientists and others also increase.
             The Demographic Transition Theory has happened in most countries in the world while China is also undergoing this through the concept of the theory that provides explanations that during pre-industrialized period of a nation to the nation's immense economic expansion period, there will be both low death rates and low birth rates. The Demographic Transition Theory provides that there will be involving four stages of the transition (Robey, 2000). Stage one: in a pre-industrialized country where birth and death rates both fluctuate hastily. Stage two: in a developing country whereas the death rates drop because of progress in food supply that result in longevity. Stage three: birth rates decrease hence birth control, and increases in wages. Stage four: birth and death rate both decrease. Advanced medicine is one of the contributing factors to the increasing population in both China and the world. Enhanced medical technology led to an increase in human longevity and a decrease in infant mortality. Improved medicine also made it capable for humans to be resistant to various diseases. A highly developed medicine, levonorgestrel emergency contraceptive like birth control is a female hormone that prevents ovulation and makes it hard for sperm to reach the uterus (Jakab, 2007).
