Communication is important from when you're small till you grow up and begin thinking for yourself. In the book it says that at around six to seven months a child begins to notice itself like for instance they begin to notice their hand their feet and begin to figure out who they are. They don't really begin to figure out the way they are in other words their identity till later after. Our identity is formed from all the influences we have around us like people we talk to or our friends or anyone that might be older than us whether they are successful in life or not. For me, I do think I was influenced by many people in my life both good and bad. I know this by the way I react to different things and how at times I'm not accepting of myself for who I am and try to be someone else. .
So let's talk of the supportive people in my life like in the book "interplay" it says that reflected appraisal have a crucial role in our self-concept. Both good people and bad people the good people are those that support you on anything and everything that would lead to your success while the bad people are those that would try and destroy your self-esteem so I would say they could feel better about themselves. Some of the supportive people I have had in my life would be my mother who would always tell me to try my best and tell me when I've given up to early. My mom was always there for me when I asked her for help she would always be there and help me or my siblings. I think that I got the characteristic caring from my mother since she cared so much for me and my sibling because If I see anyone that is in need and I can do something for them I don't hesitate and go ask them if they need help or just help them out. She would always show me to be respectful to everyone while relatives would be disrespectful to my mother she would turn her head the other way as if it didn't bother her and she would never disrespect them back.
