Characters and Place in Pride and Prejudice


There are several people in the book who go to London, but we see their actions there mostly through reports of one type or another, such as letters.
             Elizabeth goes on two important trips during the course of the novel, one to Hunsford, in Kent. Hunsford is near Rosings, Lady Catherine's estate, which Elizabeth visits several times. The second of Elizabeth's trips is to Derbyshire. .
             Jane Austen first wrote it as the book between 1796 and 1797, but it was only published in January 1813. .
             1813 was the English Regency period, between 1811 and 1820, when King George III was unfit to rule, and his son and heir became Prince Regent for him. The popular films of the book use the fashions and times of the Regency. But it is never clarified.
             Flashbacks.
             Flashbacks are used on multiple occasions. The first example that comes to mind is when Mr. Darcy wrote a letter to Elizabeth after she turned down his first proposal. The flashback takes place in the letter. There are more flashbacks in the story but these are harder to find.
             Theme.
             As the title suggests, the main themes in Pride and Prejudice really are pride and prejudice. Elizabeth is shown to be guilty of prejudicially judging Darcy to be prideful. In addition, it turns out that improper pride is actually the reason behind Elizabeth's prejudice. Finally, while Darcy is recognized as feeling above his company, the reality is that he really is the most noble character in the book and found to actually not have any improper pride. We know that pride and prejudice are the most dominant themes in the book because it is these two themes that create the main conflict in the story, which is Elizabeth's dislike of Darcy and Darcy's unrequited love for Elizabeth.
             Summary .
             The story starts when the Bennet family finds out about the young, handsome and rich man that has rented an estate close to their village Longbourn. When Mr. Bingley and Jane, the oldest Bennet daughter, meet they hit it of immediately.
