Generational Lessons

It was the morning of Sunday, July 7th, the weather was bright and sunny. The flowers blossomed profusely with the birds twittering. Because of this great weather, I thought that today would be the perfect day for a picnic. However, my thought of a picnic is rejected from my mom's another planned appointment. She explained to me that one glad visitor will come at twelve o'clock to my house. She looked very excited, and her blue eyes became as bright as the Sun, and blue as the sky. Knock, Knock, the visitor came. "Amy, please open the door for your grandma. She is waiting outside." It was my grandma who I missed her for a month! "Grandma!" I ran up to the door, and quickly opened it. Grandma happily greeted to us, holding with some heavy stuffs. Yes! The stuffs were the ingredients for pancakes, and her grandma was going to make it for us. To describe my grandma's pancakes, my mom had always said that grandma has the best recipe of the pancake in the world. In addition to the description of the pancake, she also said when she eats grandma's pancakes, her hair becomes a flowing golden river streaming down her shoulders. Even though I hadn't had her pancakes before, the thrilling feeling could not be hidden as I could finally taste her wonderful pancakes. .
While my mom was preparing the cooking utensils, grandma quickly read the special recipe for a better quality, and I was just beside my mom. The way of making pancakes were just ordinary. Mixing flour, eggs and milk were same as any recipe of pancake, except for grandma's "magic" powder. However, I didn't believe much of that "magic" powder that would totally change the taste of pancakes. When I first tasted a little bit of dough to see whether the pancake would be delicious or not, even though it was just dough, the amazement of perfection had appeared into my eyes. I silently murmured to myself that it would be greater if I put some sweet and tangy toppings on the top of pancakes.
