Americans are confronted with a massive problem of violence in our society, these have become a place where young women are being pounced on and raped, where young boys shoot for some chance to sell their illicit drugs, where old folks are trampled for their Social Security benefit check, and finally kids everyday are caught in-between flying bullets during shootouts. Majority of people think that the control of firearms is right because keeping people away from it will reduce the amount of violent death each year. There is this idea that when the word gun is mentioned, people ought to think about violence. Some people may argue that gun control should not be implemented since it is not the only cause of death each year. On the other hand, some people think it is a good idea because it will keep people safe. America is one of the most established nations with a long habit of gun possession in the world. It is rated as one of the prominent nations with the highest number of individuals owning and keeping guns. The government should not strengthen gun control laws because it will not guarantee national security, reduce crime rate, or violate the constitution. .

The 2nd Amendment clearly claims that all American citizens have the fundamental right to keep and own arms and the government, or any other institution has no discretion to trespass this right, as envisioned in the American Constitution.
