             The proponents of hartals claim to be exercising globally agreed rights such as freedom of assembly and freedom of expression. However instead of strikes being are associated with intimidation, coercion and infringement on other people's freedom of movement, and as long as hartals inflict severe costs on the nation as a whole, attempts to justify hartals by invoking principles of "freedom" do not come across as convincing or credible. While in Bangladesh, hartal after liberation was only to out throw the government instead of supporting each other parties in order to hold fair election. Instead the distant and the meaning of hartals soon became a mean to create violence within the country to force the others into acquiring a particular party's views, according to a report by UNDP in 2005 (UNDP, 2005).
             Furthermore, in a 2005 report, the World Bank said that annual economic losses from general strikes were equivalent to nearly 5 percent of Bangladesh`s GDP (Banglanews24, 2013). .
             2. Caste based discrimination is currently a looming threat in the cities and rural areas of Bangladesh. It has not been much too early from temples being torched down by other religious people in the country.
