             When it come to sports, there are always a big wealthy wallet behind each game every team are supported by their leagues and sponsors. National Gambling Impact Study Commission estimates that more than three hundred billion dollars is bet on games annually. Legalized sports betting would bring in significant tax revenues for Canadian government. Canada could use the money on better education system and ease up health care system which  always been a big expend. Also, gambling makes the sport more popular. Which means more people buys ticket to the game and grab a T-shirt with his/her favourite player's name on it whether because the love of the sport/player or the thoughts of the money wagered to gambling institution.However if one happens to lose bets may result in bankrupt or even worse. Some agencies may use extreme measures to collect their money as seen in the movies. Everything has two sides to it, legalizing sports gambling in canada while making magnificent tax revenues may seem like a nice choice indeed it could slowly break the entire leagues and society apart.
             The legalizing sports gambling in Canada  would lead to scandals like match-fixing therefore damage the enthusiasm and integrity of the game and destroys the leagues brands at the same time. In some European countries where sports gambling is legal that have had high-profile cases of matching-fixing---like Greek soccer, where match-fixing is "institutionalized". On November 14th,2014 NBA commissioner Adam Silver says in New York Times op-ed sports betting should be brought into the mainstream and out of the underground. Professional sports leagues that once professed zero tolerance for gambling are moving steadily toward accepting betting on their games, partly because of the futility in fighting it and partly to get a cut of the action. In 2011 Longtime New York Mets clubhouse manager Charlie Samuels is under investigation by the NYPD and the Queens DA for betting on sports, organizing a gambling ring, providing insider tips in regards to each game, and using the Mets bank accounts to cover his own debts.
