Marijuana


            The main cause of addiction to marijuana is the psychoactive ingredient known as THC. THC stands for delta-9-tetrahydro-cannabinal. It is a drug that is stored in human body fat. It also enters into the blood stream. It causes harm to the body and the brain, and the cells become toxic for up to 30 days after the last use of marijuana. Addiction to marijuana can happen over a short time period, or it might take a longer time period, depending on the amount of marijuana that is taken into the body. The dependency to marijuana is more of a psychological dependency than anything. That means, if you think you need the drug, and then your body will tell you need the drug. As more and more marijuana is taken, the body's tolerance level for the marijuana increases, as a result, dependency on the drug is more likely.
             HARMFUL EFFECTS FROM THE USE OF MARIJUANA.

             Those who use marijuana are effected in school and/or job performances. They will not be able to think straight, therefore causing marks to drop, and work performances are not being done to their full potential. Also, more crimes and accidents occur when a person is under the influence of marijuana, because of the way it makes you think. In vehicle collisions, marijuana was the most commonly found drug found in the drivers other than alcohol. Marijuana is indeed a very powerful, psycho-pharmological substance. Serious and damaging physical effects can occur to the cardiovascular system, respiratory system, and pre-cancerous and cancerous growths can form to the endocrine and immune systems.
