             Alcoholism can start with the immediate family of the patient. The patient can have problems with his/her family, or pick up habits from family conduct. Teens with alcoholics as parents are more likely to end up as alcoholics themselves. Teens who start the drinking before the age of fifteen are four times more likely to develop alcoholism than the person who doesn't start drinking until the legal age of twenty one ( Alcohol - Related Statistics - 1 ). Many teens start drinking at an early age because of problems with family, or there is just an inviting atmosphere for the teen to drink. Maybe there is always alcohol at home in the fridge from parents or older siblings. Many teens could be steered away from alcoholism if it weren't for the family.
             Many alcoholics start drinking from the social problems that surround their living and work space. To many, drinking is a way to escape the world they are living in. If there are problems in the patient's life, he/she may seek an easy way out, which can be alcohol to many. Alcohol affects memory or judgment, which disables a person ability to think coherently. The patient loses memory temporarily and all sense of "reality" so to speak. This binge drinking habit can lead to alcoholism. Social problems are one of the .

             All though alcoholics deny the habit of alcoholism, there are many signs and warnings that are apparent in the behavior of the patient. Alcoholics act normal almost all of the time and is hard to tell their change in personality, but there is obviously a change in behavior. The most recognized symptom portrayed by the patient is that of denial. The patient does not see that drinking is a problem in his/her life. There are many more symptoms that are also prevalent. An alcoholic will need more alcohol to feel the same effect and or gets no pleasure from the alcohol itself.
