Bragging Rights

"Smart, proud, and responsible," is what friends would say about me. I like to believe that people should respect me for who I am, and not by the clothes that I wear.
Throughout all my years in school, I have always maintained a high GPA. I graduated from ****** High School with a cumulative 3.47 GPA while taking honors courses in my senior year. During high school, I was also a member of FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) and was an active member of a cultural club. I have always excelled in the subject of math, and I enjoy casual tutoring for those around me. It brings me joy when I know I have made a positive impact on someone else's life.
I started my first job when I was only sixteen years old. Even though I was hired for only temporary help, my positive attitude and sparkling personality quickly landed me a permanent position on the team. After only six short months, I was offered a promotion. I have been able to maintain this same job for two years, while most people my age have swapped to three of four different jobs.
I have always enjoyed taking responsibility in a variety of projects. For example, at work, I am designated the Lead Cashier. This allows me to train all new hires on the registers, and teach them new things to enhance their performance on the job. I am the first person they see on their first day of work, so it is always important to show a positive image of myself.
Being Miss Chinese Washington would be a dream come true for my family and me as well. There has never been anyone in my family who has participated in such a significant event. It would make my family very proud that someone can branch out and that I could succeed in something that has never been done before in the family.
