The play of Much Ado About Nothing is a love story that is directed by the very esteemed director by the name of Joseph Alberti, who hails from Boston Massachusetts. I have actually seen the movie of this play starring Denzel Washington, Keanu Reeves, and Michael Keaton and found this play rather more pleasant compared to the actually film. I was awestruck on how when the men first come into the play they are dressed as people that were a part of a gang or M.A.F.I.A. I found this to be a very irrelevant way to show who these men felt as they were. They could have showed the soldiers as men from the military coming back from war. This would have also been very good because the women were dressed in the long skirts and long sleeved sweaters of the 50s and would've blended fine. Also as gangsters why should they have so much emotion in falling in love, are these not low-life slums and it would put in prospective on why these men stick around each other as a band of brothers. Not saying that gangs do not but military brings strong brotherhood. On the acting note however I think that there were great and mismatched roles given. First of all everyone did very well but I was not comfortable with the leading lady, Hero. I do not know her name but she did not add up to a required concept of a leading lady. She looked more of a bold and bratty personal because of the fact her hair was cut short (I know it sounds crazy but tell me does a heroine have long or short hair). But three outstanding performances go to in order of the good, better, and best. First off, Ruben G. was really into his character and that he put great comic relief into a role that was not. He put tremendous acting skill and formed a new character that made me see another side of his character, a hopeless fool in love. A given, Haley Yale once again made me laugh with a very great character to do it with. She really took a step outside the box and played a man and made the character still live up to his name.
