Federal and State Government Authorities


             In America the system of government is established basing on the Federalism. This political system still allowing each state to have its own political power. It means power is shared between the National and State government. State governments have their own constitution similar to that of the national constitution. Sharing power between the state and national government will allow us to enjoy the benefits of the diversity and unity. However the state government shall operate independently of the federal supreme court. The Federal supreme court shall be the final arbiter of legal disputes in the land and the laws made in each state cannot conflict with the national constitution. Also each state constitution differs from one another this is because each state has its own history and needs. .
             The Federal government is a democratic government. It is a government of the people, for the people, and by the people. The officials were elected by the people in all the thirteen states. Because there are three branches in federal government, no one person, not even the President, had the absolute or paramount power. No government branch had the absolute or paramount power either.
             If the national government wants the state government to do something, it should give money or the like to the state government and it is the duty of the state government to realize the federal policies and objectives. .
             "Everything capable of being done by the smaller community should not be done by the larger." This means that state level like the federal level will act in the same role in as much as possible to lower local levels as the Federal government to the state level. It is the most important mean in the Constitution. Federal power declares the war, maintains the navy, and prints money. State power establishes schools, pays teachers, makes the people healthy and safe. Concurrent power collects taxes, borrows money, and provides welfare.
