Drinking and Driving

My night started as a beautiful April evening. It wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Little did I know, it would turn into the most dreaded night of any normal teenager's life. I was dropped off at my former boyfriend, Flory's house, by my mother. I was only 15 at the time so it wasn't like I was going to be driving there.
I expected to be spending the night with him like any other night, maybe watching a movie or perhaps going to get something to eat. It turned out he had made plans with his friend to go to a bar and watch his buddy's band play. I didn't argue with him because I didn't want to upset him. Even though I was disappointed, I didn't let that discourage the rest of my night. Flory's best friend's girlfriend was at his house so I told her my best friend, Kristen, was throwing a party that night. I said we should go there to have fun since the guys were going out. She was new in town so it would be a perfect chance for her to meet new people. By the time we got there it was around 10:30 at night. The party was already well under way. As we pulled up to the house, we were lucky to get a parking spot right in the driveway. There were cars scattered all over the place that filled up the whole yard. I did the quick glance over to check what cars I knew and who all was there. I was so overwhelmed. A handful of us always partied at this house, but tonight Kristen decided to throw a big rager. There had never been that many cars there before. I walked to the front door like any other time I would, but to my surprise it was locked. This came to me as a shock. The door was never locked even when no one was home. Things were starting not to feel right. I walked around to the back of the house where I heard people. A few of my friends were standing out back and asked if I was drinking. They only asked because they wanted money from me. I told them that I didn't know yet because I wanted to check out my scenery.
