Ancient egypt

The era from 1750 BC to 133 BC was a period marked by many achievements. Although there may be many great achievements during ancient Greek civilization, I will only discuss three, the three I feel are the greatest. Pericles way of an innovative government, the great achievements by certain individuals and the main areas of knowledge the Greeks were interested in, which are shown in documents two, three and four. As a result of these great advancements and achievements in Ancient Greece, we, the United States, learned many ideas from them that we still use today.
Pericles, an Athenian leader, tells the citizens of Athens a description of the Athenian city-state in document two. Ancient Greek civilization emerged in a rugged remote corner of southeastern Europe. This civilization was different from others because it didn't rise in a fertile river valley. Because of the rugged geography of Greece, there was little cultural diffusion. Greece was isolated by high mountains which led to very different forms of government and law in Greece such as democracy, which was first developed in Athens. The Ancient Greeks were the first to use democracy as a form of government. Pericules indicated that the government of Athens was innovated by equal justice to everyone and advancement is open to everyone. As we know, the knowledge of the Athenians impresses us with much advancement that no other civilization has done before. .
The Athenians of Ancient Greece not only made accomplishments under their government, but also had great knowledge in many fields, shown in document three. Ancient Greeks were unique people that astound us to this day. Although many Greeks strove to become soldiers and athletes, others went into many different fields. A few great people that made great accomplishments are Erathosthenes who computed the circumference of the earth to within 200 miles and Euclid who organized the study of geometry into vigorous logical proofs.
