             People love reading poems for different reasons. Some like it because it rhymes; some people like it because they think it is sweet, while some poems because it is an expression of a person's feelings. However, the majority of people who read poems do not fully understand what the poem is talking about. In addition, they do not know how a good poem is meant to be, or what to look for in a poem. Poems have many things that are not clear to readers. Therefore, it is left to the reader to find abstract things and their connections to reality. Robert Frost's "The Road Not Taken- has a great deal of symbolism, which is necessary to understand before the reader can know exactly what the poem is talking about and be able to appreciate it. .
             The poem "The Road Not Taken- can mostly be related to life in general. Robert Frost uses symbolism in this poem to portray rather difficult decisions that everyone would have to make at some point in there lives. The great thing about this poem is that he makes it possible to have a mental image of what he wants to portray to the readers. In the poem, Robert Frost uses a traveler as a symbolism of people in general. The traveler is on an important journey through the woods. He gets to a point where the road splits into two, and traveler has to make a decision on which road to take in other to continue his journey. The "two roads diverge- in the poem symbolizes picking between two important choices. The poem let the readers know that the traveler is confused and does not know the right road to take; the road that would lead him to where he is going. Meaning people go through different hardships in life and are left to make decisions that would change their lives forever. In addition, people get confused and do not khow to pick the right choice. However, the person knows he or she would have to make the decision and knows that the choice the make would have a big impact on their lives.
