There are many people throughout the world that have not experienced a close relationship with someone. I was able to start a relationship with a special someone my freshman year in high school that I cherish with all my heart. My relationship with her has taught me new thrills and feelings in life that I have never experienced before. This amazing person is a major part in my life and my relationship with her is evident throughout everything I do.
Meeting this cute, little, volleyball player outside of my high school gym before football practice will always stand as a monumental memory in my life. Throughout the trials and tribulation of high school bull shit, I was able to grow fonder of her and value our relationship more and more. We never dated, nor even tried, but the chemistry that was between us grew steadily. Those longs nights at high school drinking parties; watching her from across the fire only waiting on that brief eye contact, is what truly defined our relationship. .
We never discussed how we felt about each other. It was an unsaid, but yet understood feeling. Sometimes I would ponder on the idea on how things would be if we did take things further than our friendship. But I kept those ideas buried under my skin. I was in fear of bringing this up would ruin what we had established. So, over the years and through all of the hassles, we stayed as close friends.
We went our separate ways and found what we each defined as love. Though the only love of my life was not her, filling the space that surrounded it is what made her unique. With the troubles and fights between our partner progressed, I tended to lean towards her for guidance. Though I never sat down and discussed my problems with my girlfriend with her, I was able to use her reactions and moral standards of life into my own. She never knew how much I saw her as my ideal girl, but that never bothered me. I knew that she was special, through and through.
