The organization proposed "to establish a better intelligence and cooperation among all of us Puerto Ricans living in New York City, principally among the men and women who militate in the ranks of labor." The final goal of this organization was to "work for the well being of the Puerto Rican laboring colony in the United States of the Working class in Puerto Rico". The Puerto Rican government opposed and did not support such radical causes. .
