Grade Pressure

Since the students are taking too many classes and participating with many other outside activities such as sports, volunteering, and leaderships, they do not have enough hours in a day to do all their works, so they cheat to keep their good grades. Furthermore, students are desperate to get good grades, incapable to accept failure, and afraid losing their reputations from friends and family, therefore cheating seems an acceptable option to get by. In college, students cheat because they have the pressure to get good grades so they can transfer to their graduate school or obtain a degree. They are trying to get easy professors either by asking others students which professors to take and which professor not to take or go to website sites like who to take and rate my professors. However, there are students that cheat because of their laziness, not being prepared to work, and inability to keep up with works. I remember back in high school when I did an interview with teachers and students about cheating, I was surprised by the answers I got. Some of the students responded that they were just "using all the available resources" and "they only did that when it is necessary". The teacher told me that enough people are doing it, no one will tell, so people can keep cheating, no one will find about it, and the lead honest person is generally penalize. .
In additional, many students choose to take psychoactive drugs and become a drug abuser as a choice to reduce the stress. Psychoactive drugs are used for altering consciousness, perception, mood, and behavior. However, when a person is constantly taking these drugs they are becoming a drug abuser. Usually the person becomes a drug abuser because of things that result in disruptions in academic, social, or occupational functioning, or psychological problems. In this case, the students take drugs due to the pressure on them to get good grades.
