             It is the largest rainforest in the world. It covers a total area of X km2 and makes up a total of X% of the total amount of rainforests. The rainforest holds a total of 2/3 of insect's species. It also holds many different specifies of animals including and many different tribes of indigoes people. It conations many different recourses such as medicine, wood, food and mines. Many different companies wish to exploit it such as multi national company such as MacDonald's would chop down the trees and graze there cattle there. Miners would need to dig holes that would take away the trees and logging people would need to cut down the trees. They would all need roads, which would result in more trees being cut down. There machinery would cause pollution, which would get into the atmosphere and pollution, which would get into the water. I suggest that we have an area for the animals and plants that people could not cut down. When people cut a tree down they should plant two other also when they do "hack and slash" they should decrease the area they burn down and leave the area to recover for much longer. .
             Deforestation: The rapid cutting down of trees for wood and for clearing land.
             Pro.
             -Logging is very important to the economy.
             -Lots of the tree products from the Amazon are used and needed around the world.
             -If certain forms of deforestation are executed properly they can be beneficial, or at least not harmful to the environment.
             -Deforestation is also used for cattle ranching, which is a large part of the diet.
             Con.
             -It is often not executed in a productive way, which means it harms the rainforest as well as not bringing as much money as it could. .
             -When it is not executed properly, the land is used for a short time and then it becomes infertile, which is a waste.
             -The rainforest is shrinking which means less oxygen and rain and faster global warming. .
             -Animal and plant species are lost. .
             -Valuable knowledge is lost.
