Violence

Violence in the 20th century has proven to be an increasing social problem. Violence has been a crucial and controversial issue especially now a days with the high and vast development of technology. Technological developments such as video games and internet had been considered as a cause for the increasing rate of violence in the world. For example, video games have widely spread among teenagers where approximately %80 of them are addicted to playing such games. The Entertainment Industry has been singled out as the number one cause of violent behavior. The issue that video games, internet, or cinemas cause violence or help develop violence is definitely not true. .
By placing the blame completely on media, we are disregarding thousands of different problems. The living conditions in the world has changed and created social, economical, and psychological problems which are the major reasons for violence or the increase of it.
Violence may be caused by family problems due to misunderstanding or miscommunication between the parents and their children. It even might be the school environment that is affecting their behavior negatively.
Economical issues play also a major role in the violence actions of teenagers. Poverty or Wealth might have a negative effect or help develop violence in case there was a base for it in the teenagers character. So either too much responsibilities caused by poverty drives them to the violence path or being wealthy with weak and poor family ties accompanied with careless parents.
By mentioning some major issues that are more likely to have effect on teenagers and be a cause for them to be violent, we conclude that video games, internet, and other medias have a very small effect in increasing violence compared to the other important issues. As a matter of fact, teenagers are aware of the difference between real life and fantasy. In addition, there is the awareness that the parents provide the children with.
