World population

As technology, industry, and people continue to evolve we continue to set human life up on a path of self destruction. We overcrowd, overeat, and pollute our earth, wiping out forests and wetlands to develop a new subdivision, or a restaurant where a large portion of the food goes to waste, or a car dealership where we can purchase our automobiles that run off of fossil fuels while polluting our atmosphere. To many things that where once considered a luxury are now necessities, and to imagine our lives without these items is next to impossible. But maybe just beginning to do so will help to turn us in the right direction. There's no question that we have lived recklessly in our environment and are headed towards backing our way of life as we know it right into a corner. As we continue to see these luxuries as necessities we become dangerously more comfortable as our population increases at an alarming rate. The more our population rises the more of these "luxuries" will be desired, the more luxuries desired the more nature will need to do for ud in order for us to have those things this will inevitably lead to a rise in world hunger, pollution, and unless our natural resources rise with the population increase those will be used up as well. .
The more people on this earth, the more food will be needed, our population already suffers from an abundance of poverty. It is estimated that approximately 400 million people suffer from poverty so bad they cannot afford rations for basic nutrition. Thriving nations such as ours that have so much food that a large portion of it is wasted, have a responsibility to aid countries that cannot feed their hungry. Advanced countries like ours need to do more then feed their hungry, we need to teach them how to feed themselves-catch me a fish and you feed me for a day, teach me to fish and you feed me for a lifetime, our country needs to help them to help themselves.
