Buffy Summers woke up in a joyful mood. She quickly got an apple and coffee, and was out the door with her books, heading for another fun day at Sunnydale High School. She kept on thinking about Angel, hoping he would return. She couldn't allow herself to keep thinking about Angel anymore! She had to think about her schoolwork. She met up with Willow and Oz at school. "So, how was the vamp patrol last night?" asked Oz. "You know, they are easy to kill and very boring" said Buffy. Willow and Oz just laughed. While Buffy was in History class she happened to look out the window. There was Faith, another Slayer and also a friend. Faith tried to get Buffy's attention but Buffy seemed to ignore her. Later on, at lunch, Faith spotted Buffy sitting with the "Scooby Doo Gang" - Willow, Oz, Xander, and Anya. Faith shouted, "Buffy! Why did you dis" me like that? I wanted to talk to you." "You could have waited until lunch", responded Buffy. Faith said hello to the gang. While they were at lunch, Buffy and Faith talked about last night. They told the gang about the scream they heard but couldn't find the bodies or the vamps. Then, the gang all agreed to go to Giles" place after school.
Within fifteen minutes after the bell ended the school day, the group was at Giles" drinking tea. While Willow was working her magic on the computer, the rest had their heads in books trying to form a plan to kill the Master Vampire. Anya agrees to be the bait in order to attract the Master and his minions. Xander shouts, "Anya can't be bait! She can't even fight off a butterfly!" "Thanks Xander! I thought you were going to be supportive of my attempts to help", said Anya. Xander said, " Sweetie, I just don't want you to get hurt if she shows up and you don't realize it".
