The movie ANTZ is a great example of the transactional process. It's about an ant colony as a system and the ant workers as the sub system. The colony is run as a totalitarianism with the Queen and General in control of the colony. One ant named Z trades places with a soldier ant to see princess Bala at the parade. Unfortunately a war breaks out and Z becomes a hero during the battles and begins to spread the idea of individualism throughout the colony. When Z and Bala find themselves far away from the colony they realize they are stuck with each other until they come up with a plan. Princess Bala is very assertive and sometimes aggressive. She is very open minded and demanding. Z on the other hand is a little passive and sometimes assertive.
Their first goal was to find another habitat called Insectopia. When that goal was met a conflict arised when Cutter came to get Princess Bala to take her back to the colony. After he took her, Z had to make a decision. His role as an individual is to go back and rescue Princess Bala. When he arrived at the colony Bala was already held prisoner and she had found out all the General's plans to wipe out the colony. Together they play as a small group and their goal is to go and save the colony. When the general sealed off the area that contained all the worker ants and the queen, they soon realized that they were deceived and were going to die if the water gets in. Z showed great leadership by cooperating with the antz and coming up with a good plan to lead them to the top.
