Marriage and family

            I have fallen in love (again) and now plan on spending the rest of my life with Joanna B. A date has been picked for the wedding. We will discuss a lot of things before the big day. Not only will we talk about all the wedding arrangements, but also our dreams for the future. As we hold each other's hands we will discuss how many children to have, what we will do with our careers and even what our perfect house will look like. All of these thoughts are important to share, but you don't want to forget a subject that is a major cause of failed marriages. An important element of any successful marriage is the ability to handle money together. This is definitely a challenge. If you put any two people together you can almost bet that their views on money will differ. One will look at money as a way to buy things. To another, money equals status. Still others seem to go through life without any real regard for money. This will always differ because we each relate to money uniquely due to a number of different influences in our lives. Everything from our childhood experiences to our philosophy on life will impact the way we use and view money. We each will make financial decisions based on a framework that seems logical to us. .
             Anyone who has ever been responsible for constructing a household budget can understand the frustrations of trying to tie in various mandatory expenses with the many luxuries that we desire to enjoy. This project is my proposal for providing for my family, that includes a wife and two children. During the preparation for this project I received a family dilemma and had to incorporate it into my plans and describe how it would impact my family. When making this proposal many factors will be included such as the necessities and the luxuries. .
             The career that I chose at the beginning of the semester was a teaching position with the Department of Defense. The starting salary for government employees are higher and with already serving as Marine for five years my salary would be $33,500.
