             Birth.
             On September 7th, 1533, Elizabeth I was born to Henry the VIII and his wife at that time Anne Boleyn. Elizabeth was baptized at Westminster Abbey on September 10th, 1533.
             Family History.

             King Henry VII Anne Boleyn.
             King Henry the VIII was Elizabeth's father and during his reign he had six wives. King Henry's wives, in order of marriage were as follows:.
             1) Catherine Argon (Mother of Mary Queen of Scots).
             2) Anne Boleyn (Queen Elizabeth's Mother).
             3) Jane Seymour (Mother of Queen Elizabeth's half-brother Edward VI).
             4) Anne of Cleves (Divorced).
             5) Katherine Howard (Beheaded).
             6) Catherine Parr (Remarried to Thomas Seymour).

             King Henry VIII divorced Catherine of Argon because she didn't bear him a son. Elizabeth's birth was a disappointment to King Henry because she was not a male heir to the throne. Although he was disappointed, King Henry loved Elizabeth and kept her close to him until he executed her Mother, Anne Boleyn when Elizabeth was 3 years old, and then remarried to Jane Seymour.
             It was King Henry VIII's sixth wife, Catherine Parr who was responsible for bringing Elizabeth back into her father's favour and also for ensuring that she became one of the most educated women of her time.
             Childhood.
             Elizabeth had a very troubled childhood. At the age of three years old she lost her Mother, Anne Boleyn who was executed by King Henry VIII for failing to give him a son. King Henry VIII falsely accused Anne Boleyn of incest and adultery on May 19, 1536. After the execution, Elizabeth was declared as an illegitimate child lost her place in line for the throne. Elizabeth had 4 stepmothers in her life over an 8 year period.
             It is said that during her life, Elizabeth didn't really remember her Mother but she always remembered how she died.
