Definition of a great film

There are different ways to define a good film. To me a good film is one that keeps you glued to the movie screen or simply your TV. A great film makes you want to watch it and never gets boring. It has something exciting all the time, and does not carry on and on. I think a good film has to make you think about what's going to happen and why the killer or the main character is acting the way they are. It doesn't necessarily need a killer but I think it does need someone that messes up the story or someone that interferes with someone's life. To me this would make it interesting.

A good film makes you believe that what is being acted it's actually real. The actors should know how to call the attention of the viewers and make them forget that it is just a movie. What I also think is really important in a good movie, (since I"m a horror fan) is that the music goes according to what's happening. I also like to be scared, so if the movie really scares me, I think that would be my best movie.
The director and the producer are the ones that have the biggest job. They are the ones in charged in making a film good. If the director doesn't know how to direct then the movie us going to loose interest, and also if the writer doesn't know how to write a good movie (meaning that he the scenes not having a purpose) than the movie will also loose interest. The characters also play a big part. If they can't act the part then the movie is not going to be a hit. In conclusion a good movie to me should have al these thing that I mentioned but most important I think it would be special effects. A movie without special effects wouldn't be a movie in my opinion.
