Valentines Day

Stephanie is a typical teen age girl growing up in the world and adapting to her surroundings. She like so many young girls has fallen into the trap of a crush, with Doug one of her classmates. She did seem like she went a little over board with the fact that she had a journal dedicated to Doug. I"m sure a lot of girls have journals and may enter in some logs of things that happened to them that day and what that boy they have a crush on did that day, she would enter such things as "his sneakers, his knapsack, the way he carried his knapsack, the things that he probably carried in his knapsack" and so on. But this journal of his came back to nip her in the butt, because another student found the journal and stuck the last entry on her locker and being in a school many people were able to read it and pass around the rumours. She was probably pretty mad with herself and whoever put the page of 82 things Doug did cool that day. She probably stayed away from people and had very little contact with anyone for quit a while until some one else did something embarrassing to take the schools eyes off her back.
Then she got another crush when Paul arrived but didn't quit know it until he didn't show up for some classes one week. She became paranoid and began calling his house and then hanging up. This may be a sign that she has fallen in love with him and takes it to the next step where it becomes an obsession. But she ruined it with the last guy she liked, so she didn't want to seem like she was obsessed with him. Then at the Christmas party is where they both meet and find out there true feelings for each other.
             .
When Stephanie's mother tries to interact with her, after the fight with her brother, and starts asking her questions, Stephanie just blows her off. Her mother even asks if she wants to go to the mall and buy some clothes but she didn't even want to do that it was as if she was trying to avoid and interaction with her mother and just wants time to spend dreaming about Paul.
