Major Paper

Although Christophers journey ended in the emotional meeting with his mother, his decision to leave home not only hurt his father but at the same time bothered his mother. Christophers father loves his sosn, and he hates himself for lieing to him, and when he left home his father was crushed, but that's what you get when you lie to someone I suppose. Moreover his mother, who could never really put up with Christophers "disability", was very shocked to see her son so far away from home, and let him know that he could not stay there for long. This obviously hurt Christopher and scared him at the saem time, because he could not go home, he had no where to go now, but in the end it all worked out and Christophers journey had come to an end.
In the play, Into the Woods, the main character is a queit, honest, yet shy Baker. He is forced, by a witch, to go into the woods in search of some special itmes. He agrees to the witchs demands because she had cast a spell on his family bloodline, and he could not have children unless he broke the spell, and the only way to do that was to fetch the items from the woods, which the witch asked for. On the Bakers journey he encounters many trials and tribulations. He has some trouble obtaining the specific items because most of these items belong to people, and because the Baker is a very honest man, he finds it troubling that he ahs to lie to some of the other characters to obtain the items, but sooner or later his responsibility to his wife to brake the spell holds more weight than honesty and he does what he has to too brake the spell. Althought the Bakers journey was forced upon him, the Baker took the responsibility of obtaining the items into his own hands and left his wife out of it. We see the Baker, throughout the course of the play, turn into a man. He begins to show attributes which he did not have before. He is more daring, more couragious, and has more self confidence in himself.
