A lot of people now days judge bands" by how they look. For example if a band dresses and looks dark or Gothic, their automatic response is that there's something wrong about them that their music is obscene. And that is just a judgement based on the image. The band has put out before even hearing them. However some of the bands do have respect for the parent's opinion, and think that even if the parents speak against their band, and what they stand for and sing about, that if your parents think it's wrong for you to listen to what we are singing about, then listen to them. A lot of blame went to music for all the school shootings. People thought that the music their children listened to sent out a message to go take another persons" life. Some other people may say that, listening to rock is another way to disrespect your parents. Saying that the lyrics told you what to do or how to do it. People who listen to rock enjoy and understand it, and realize that it is here for our entertainment, and not for your education.
