Technology has become an indispensable part of our lives. Cellular phones, computers, Internet, are all essential tools for both people and business. The incessant evolution of information technology has introduced dramatic changes in the way we live and do business our socio-economic system. .
Our economic system depends on computer systems to keep operational, and the demand for skilled IT professional is growing. Professionals are required in all kind of areas, such as engineering, database, programming, web-design, internet, etc. .
A 1998 study from the Information Technology Association of America (cited in Cohen, 2003) found a shortage of 346,000 programmers, systems analysts, and computer scientists in the U.S. That means experienced and well trained IT professionals command higher salaries than others with less training and experience. (Monster technology, 2003) In order to keep in touch with the latest technology changes, computers users and IT professionals, must be constantly reading, studying, watching techno-news, and attending to seminars.
