The PSV Eindhoven defender is expected to join the Premiership leaders in the summer as a replacement for Laurent Blanc, but he will tell Sir Alex Ferguson that he will not move to Old Trafford if he is part of a squad rotation.
He told the News of the World: "I want to play every week when I'm fit and I shall tell the coach when he phones. If he doesn't guarantee me that, I'm not interested in his club.".
Hofland admitted that United face competition from La Liga giants Real Madrid for his signature. He said: "I'm waiting for the offers from those two clubs. Then I will choose between them.".
