            The SUV what exactly does it stand for? well it stands for sports utility vehicle but what it really stand for is Americas dream car, because lets face it ,its every Americans dream to own an SUV. The size the power its what everyone wants . How far are people willing to go to own one of these monsters. as far as destroying the environment? maybe. j .
             The SUV fits into two categories one of which is how it benefits the American people the other is how it contrasts that idea. j.
             The history of the SUV. America has long had a love affair with is automobiles, and the SUV is no exception. SUV owners aren't any different when it comes to their passion for the SUV.(www.4wheeldrive.com) In the early days there were no SUVs so American manufacturers were fiddling with the idea of 4x4or off roading this idea became practical when the "depot hacks" were developed. They were a type of early truck that was used for hauling large equipment. After the hacks a company named Suburban came out with a model called the Willy Wagon which designers called a "utility vehicle" for the family.j.
             The SUV was a very practical thing up until the 50's it was the 50's that brought a change to suburban and carryalls. People began having this great fascination with the SUV everyone wanted this vehicle especially in California because how else are you supposed to travel with your surf board. Yes its all thanks to those surfers that Americas craze for the SUV began.(www.4wheeldrive.com)j.
             By the time the 80's and 90's came around it was all about the truck. The size and power is what most people were attracted to because every one loved a car where the whole soccer team could fit into, on one trip. It was also around that time when fashion began to flourish many companies such as Ford not only bean making their trucks with more power but they also began making them look and feel more sexier, to be more appealing to the public eye.
