Analysis on Sun Tzu

"Those skilled at uncommon maneuvers are as endless as the heavens and earth, and as inexhaustible as the rivers and seas Killing the enemy is a matter of arousing anger in men," Sun Tzu said. The most important aspect of warfare is power; how to gain it, keep it and use it. The way to defeat the enemy and win battles lies upon the general's ability to deceive his enemy and to make his troops feel empathy for their cause. Of course these tactics may be applied to other aspects of life than warfare. Battles (not necessarily military) hinge on using deceit and the ability to make others see your point as clearly as you do. .
First we must define "uncommon maneuvers" as acts that are beyond ordinary. These maneuvers include a key aspect of power. We obtain power by using deceit. All leaders to some extent use deceit to make people see their point of view. Whether it is persuasive speeches or propaganda it is still deceit. I am not trying to say it is wrong to do this, I am just saying that this is what happens in battle. Deceit is the greatest weapon an army can use. The confederates in the civil war always made it seem like their forces were numerous by using fake gun batteries and columns of troops. They made the enemy rethink the battle and cause delays which aided the confederates in out maneuvering the union. However battle does not necessarily mean on the battle field. People Battle with their bosses at jobs, teenagers with their parents and teachers and the elderly battle themselves. A battle in essence is a struggle. .
Whenever in battle against my parents I always come up with attacks to try and out guess their strategies and sometimes try to flank the conversation if it isn't going my way. I feel so passionate about my point of view and use trickery or deceitfulness to convey my point. Always try to make it seem like your experiences are tough, make the cause you"re fighting for a moral one where the other point of view is immoral.
