hamlets sanity

In both of these situations Hamlet shows emotion. It would be nearly impossible for someone who is insane to show such emotion in such situations as hamlet does. This supports that he was not insane. .
Hamlet also has the ability to foresee his own fate. When Hamlet is sent to England, he is aware of Claudius plot for his death. Hamlet has the reasoning skills to see this and change it. He found the letter to the king of England, saying Hamlet should be killed. He then switched them with another saying his accomplices should be killed. Hamlet possesses the ability to discover secret plots against him. Would someone who is insane have the ability to find out he was going to be killed and then change his fate? .
Hamlet throughout the play tells riddles and illogical statements. His illogical statements are through out the play. In Act Four there is a particular scene where Hamlet tells such statements and riddles. Hamlet had just killed Polonius. Guildenstern and Rosencrantz are trying to find out where his body is from Hamlet. Hamlet does not tell them and toys with them. He then calls them sponges that soak up these kinds orders. They bring Hamlet to Claudius and he demands to know where the body is. He riddles with the king. Finally he gives in and tells them, "you shall nose him as you up the stairs into the lobby." Although Hamlet displayed actions of being insane with illogical statements he had reason to do such an act. Hamlet is trying to get his pursuers confused. By Hamlet acting as if he was mad, he can justify killing the king at his choosing. .
Hamlet's famous soliloquy can support the fact that Hamlet was not insane. "To be, or not to be; that is the question: Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And, by opposing, end them." Hamlet is thinking out what he is going to do about his father's death.
